What inspires you?
So many things!
When I'm teaching flow jams and I can hear everyone moving around during the free flow.
Authentic conversation / connection.
Good music – the kind that gives you goosebumps when you listen to it.
Authentic humans sharing their passion.
Learning of any kind. Basically any opportunity I have to learn whether it's from students that come to my class, teachers, kids, or anyone I meet. I feel inspired when I learn new things about the people in my life, and when I discover new things about myself. Currently learning from/inspired by Lara Heimann, Kathryn Budig, Erin Motz, Dice Iida-Klein, Briohny Smyth, Tiffany Cruikshank + all of my amazing fellow instructors/coworkers at theRADlife!
I'm going to Thailand for an AMAZING 300hr YTT next July and it'll be my longest time away from home!
In 3 words how would you describe your teaching style?
Your yoga love story – when/how did you fall in love with yoga?
Initially I was drawn to yoga because of all of the obvious physical benefits - I wanted to be flexible and toned. I wanted to feel strong and confident, and I had a specific idea in my head of what that looked like. As I started practicing more and more, all of the other gifts of the practice like presence, compassion, patience, gratitude, and acceptance were all revealed to me. I slowly forgot about all of the physical factors that I was drawn to as I began to truly find acceptance for myself for who I am. My yoga practice has helped me through some of the toughest times in my life, and I am forever grateful for all it has given me. I love that there is always room to grow and progress no matter where you're at, and I'm so grateful I get to share my love for this practice every day.
