What inspires you?

Nature, stillness and a quiet mind. These are the times when my soul is most alive and true. But most importantly when I feel most connected to myself.
Moments with my daughter and dogs teach me to be present, lighthearted, playful, and the unconditional love I feel makes my heart the happiest.
Ever evolving love love love with my person.
Time with the ones most dear to me.
Travelling, experiencing the new and returning to a home I’m so grateful for at the end of those adventures.

Your yoga love story – when/how did you fall in love with yoga?

My yoga love story began in my hometown of Medicine Hat in 2005, when I was 22, wow! I attended my first yoga class for health related reasons suggested by my physiotherapist, by this point I had been misdiagnosed a few times and was searching for answers. Over the years I benefited in many ways, although it wasn’t the ‘cure’ for my original health concern, I was able to use my practice to emotionally cope. I moved a lot in my 20’s and went to many different yoga studios with varying styles and teachers.
Fast forward to 2015, I began my 6 month journey in teacher training and have been teaching weekly since March 2016. I’m so grateful for the connection and friendship I’ve gained over the years in Grande Prairie yoga community.
I fall in love with this practice over and over again, every time I get on my mat for my own personal practice and every class I teach.
