What inspires you?
People who are living big, bold, authentic lives from a place of love. Connection with other humans who are genuine, authentic, vulnerable and unapologetically themselves. My kids (they also simultaneously infuriate me most of the time, little wizards). Nature and the science behind all fascinating bits about it, especially the parts that seem inexplicable and most especially the parts that are inexplicable.
I have never broken a bone and I know how to play the saxophone.
In 3 words how would you describe your teaching style?
Inquisitive. Genuine. Chill.
Your yoga love story – when/how did you fall in love with yoga?
I started yoga, at theRADlife no less, when I wanted to try something new. I started with post natal with my second child when she was 5ish months old and shortly after starting my world seemed to be falling apart. I decided, against my normal patterns, to keep going. Do more yoga. Try all the classes. Go alone. Go to moon nights. Say yes even when it was scary and new. I kept saying yes and somehow here I am, filling out an instructor bio at the place that changed my life. Sounds cliche and maybe that I’m over-exaggerating. I’m not. I am not a different person although I certainly outwardly appear that way, I am just now showing the world a more accurate reflection of who I really am. Somewhere along those “yes’s” to yoga I fell in love with the practice as it showed me how to fall in love with myself. It’s amazing what can happen in 1.5 short years.
