According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Summer is the season for abundance and is the most yang of all 5 seasons. It is the time for expansion, growth and light, making it a pivotal time to mindfully incorporate balance between yang and yin – doing and being. The element of Fire gives Summer it’s powerful energy and is known as the spark of life. Connected to the Heart Meridian and Small Intestines meridian., when in balance, one may feel joyful, emotionally balanced, calm and enjoy peaceful deep sleeps. Because of the relationship of the Heart to one own’s spirit, balancing these meridians may heal old wounds.

This one time yin yoga Master class will begin with a short introduction to the philosophy relating to the season of Summer, and it’s corresponding element and meridians. To deepen our experience of practice. our friends at Saje Natural Wellness Grande Prairie will lead us in a Saje breath to deepen the senses and calm the mind. Our yin practice will be composed of postures linked in sequence to bring balance to the Heart and Small Intestine meridians. Calming touch and gentle adjustments with Saje essential oils will be offered by Kerri and Terina, if you wish to receive.

Oh the sweet nectar of summer,

The manifestation of seeds cultivated in Spring.

This is a one time practice you do not want to miss!!
